Ricky + Cassandra's Lovely June Engagement Session at Mill Creek Park | Fellows Riverside Gardens Engagement Photos | Youngstown Wedding Photographer

A couple of weeks ago, Donny & I met up with Ricky + Cassandra to take advantage of the pretty spring flowers & gorgeous green scenery—one advantage of all of this rain! They decided on utilizing the always beautiful Fellows Riverside Gardens for their engagement photos, which is one of our favorite local spots as Youngstown wedding photographers.

We had been waiting months to have the chance to meet up with Ricky + Cassandra and, unfortunately, were forced to reschedule our initial date due to rain. (This spring is killin’ us! haha) However, this day turned out to be absolutely perfect! We honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather and the session turned out great!

Ricky + Cassandra were so much fun to work with throughout the shoot! Their sense of humor, energy, & love for one another was contagious! They appeared so natural together. So secure in one another. Individuals definitely ready to become one. They were a delight and we loved hanging out! :)

We always enjoy bonding with our couples during engagement sessions, getting to know one another over the course of the shoot. This allows us to develop chemistry and gain a good understanding of what they prefer prior to their wedding. Donny & I understand that professional shoots, especially engagement sessions, can be intimidating (we were even nervous taking our engagement photos—and we’re professional wedding photographers!). Because of this, we always ask our couples what they feel comfortable doing and then we show them how to make that happen. Posing is easy enough if you have good teachers and it’s actually a lot of fun once you get the hang of it! :) Our couples get comfortable with posing over the course of their session and by the time the big day comes, they can act natural and just flaunt it!! ;p

Ricky + Cassandra definitely won’t have any problems working with the camera come wedding time! They’re total naturals!! Enjoy some of our favorite, cutest moments from this sweet engagement session at Mill Creek Park :)
