A couple of weeks ago, Donny & I captured some gorgeous engagement photos for two of our favorite people, Dustin + Jeanna. We photographed in Chagrin Falls at their rustic wedding venue, which proved to be the perfect setting for this shoot! We’re so in love with this rustic engagement session and beyond happy for these two! Can’t wait to be a part of their big day next summer! :)

Jeanna is Donny’s younger sister and we’ve been friends for over 7 years now—going back to even before Donny & I began dating! We’ve been close to Jeanna & Dustin for years—and they were actually in our wedding! Donny & I will return the favor and both be in their wedding too, which doesn’t happen often due to our busy wedding schedule! As wedding photographers, our weekends are typically extremely busy and it’s rare to have an opportunity to be in or attend weddings. However, we planned this out ahead of time with Jean & Dustin, working together closely to ensure that they didn’t choose a wedding date that we already had booked. We were luckily able to coordinate a date that worked for both of us, and we’re so excited to actually be able to celebrate with them! :)

Donny & I were so happy to hear that Jean + Dustin got engaged after years of dating! There were a few hints along the way, but it always feels sudden when such a big decision is made! We wanted to do something special to celebrate their engagement, so Donny & I decided to gift them a fall engagement session as an early wedding gift! Jean + Dustin loved the idea and we planned to do an adventurous shoot at a rustic location.

Jean + Dustin decided to use their wedding venue for their engagement photos. It provided a quaint, woodsy atmosphere with a lot of character that definitely suited these two well! We found a gorgeous field with the setting sun directly behind it, a pretty pond, bridges, walking trails, & more! Their session was so much fun and this rustic setting offered a ton for us to use!
