Jordan + Eva's wedding at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and wedding photography at The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH

I first met Jordan and Eva when we went to Fellows Riverside Gardens for their engagement session about five months before their wedding and I just knew I would love them. They're so sweet, fun, full of life and completely in love with each other. Their connection is so undeniable and pure. You couldn't tear these two apart if you tried. It's couples like this who make me feel extra honored and excited to do what I do. I couldn't wait to document one of the best days of their lives!

The day before their wedding the forecast was calling for 100% chance of rain. At first we were so bummed. We had originally made plans to photograph all of the bride & groom and bridal party portraits outside at Tippecanoe Country Club but knew we would have to rearrange plans. I remember telling Eva not to panic, that we would find a new spot and I would make sure they got incredible photographs despite the silly Ohio weather. ;)

The big day finally arrived!! I started off photographing the girls getting ready at Eva's parent's house while Amy (Gianna James Photography) photographed the guys. This is one of my favorite parts of the day - everyone just chills out and has a great time! I loved photographing all of the little details from the rings, dress, and jewelry to the candid snapshots of  family and friends. And it was soooo sweet and special that Eva's super talented sister, Natalie, did her wedding makeup.

Fast-forward to the ceremony at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Boardman (seriously one of the prettiest churches in the Youngstown area). Eva walked down the aisle and I swore Jordan was going to burst with joy. They said their vows in front of the most amazing group of family and friends and walked out together as husband and wife! Yay!!

After taking family photos at the church we drove over to the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown for photos. Since it was raining we needed a place that had cover and it worked out perfectly! Security in the Butler was even kind enough to let us come inside to take a few shots even though they were closing. We finished the rest of the photos outside and the white marble exterior served beautiful backdrop. If you can't tell how fun this bridal party crew is by my words alone, just check out the photos. They were constantly laughing and even candidly picked up Jordan and Eva. Amy and I were cracking up the whole time and having a blast! Afterwards we skipped on over to Tippecanoe Country Club to see if we could snag a few outdoor photos. The bridal party braved the rain for a moment to get a photo there and then happily left for the reception at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center.

Food and  party time!! What more can I say? They had a gorgeous reception including all of the normal things you would expect and more - a huge chocolate table catered by PMG Chocolatier and a giant Youngstown cookie table (yep, it's a Youngstown thing). The reception is always my favorite time of the wedding day. All the formalities are over and the bride and groom get to party it up with the most cherished people in their lives. Heartwarming and funny speeches,  cake-cutting, dances, and of course, alcohol.

We ended our photography coverage after a special dance Jordan and Eva did with their guests to Piano Man by Billy Joel. It's something they always do at weddings, so it was really cool to witness and document it for them! We packed up feeling like we had hung out with our own friends all day - it was that much fun.

Jordan and Eva, I wish you two the absolute best in your marriage and it was a joy working together! <3 Congratulations again!
