On July 22, my now husband Donny & I traveled to the U.S. Virgin Islands—partially for business, partially to visit family, and partially to relax—before flying to Florida for business. We spent our first day in St. Thomas visiting family members that sea & Earth had prevented us from connecting with for many years. It’s really amazing how close you can feel with those who you are inherently made to know or have grown up with and understand, regardless of distance or time spent apart. We had an amazing trip & this family portrait session is partially proof of that! Enjoy the Caribbean goodness!
On July 22, my now husband Donny & I traveled to the Caribbean to spend a few days visiting family on St. Thomas and shooting tropical sessions during our stay. A few days after arriving, we packed up our gear and headed to St. John via ferry to capture two of our favorite peoples love, Donny’s cousin, Brian, and his fiance, Caiti (also known as Caiti Snacks, but that’s another story for another day).
Adam + Nicole's military wedding was certainly one to remember! This classic Youngstown wedding featured locations such as the traditional Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the gorgeous Mahoning County Courthouse, and other beautiful downtown Youngstown spots. These are some of my favorite buildings to photograph in given the historic architecture & beautiful cosmetics which offer a lot of character that speak to the unique nature of Youngstown itself.
Meet Tracey and her adorable "mini me." :) We got to meet up for a Mommy & Me session at Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa, Florida a few weeks ago and I'm so glad we did! These two were such a joy to be around; I felt like they were old friends. We had a great time roaming through the paths, petting dogs (YAY to people who let me pet their dogs!!), swatting all the mosquitos (oh, Florida... #swampland), and soaking up the evening golden sunlight.
Are you ready to see some spring blooms and one beautiful couple?! Spring lasted about 3.7 seconds here in Ohio. Legitimately. It went straight from winter to spring (for ONE week!) and then darted to 80 degrees and sunshine. I'm so glad Austin and Eva had their engagement session scheduled right in the midst of everything coming to life. We met up at Inniswood Metro Gardens in Columbus, Ohio to begin their photos and they sported huge smiles and excited attitudes the entire time.
Looking for the perfect DIY proposal inspiration? You're in the right place! At the end of this past winter two of my good friends (and soon to be cousin-in-laws!) got engaged in quite possibly the most creative and magical way. Brian decided to buy a ton of lights, a generator, candles, and rose petals to set up in the woods behind his house in Youngstown. This took MONTHS of preparation.
