A few weeks ago, Donny & I had the privilege of hanging out with Michael + Madeline and capturing some special moments in celebration of their engagement & upcoming wedding next spring! They decided to use Lily Pond & Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park for their shoot, which proved to be the perfect combination of spots! On this gorgeous sunny July day, everything popped! We loved this sun-kissed session, and working with this sweet couple was such a breeze!
We had so much fun spending time with these two love birds who were kind enough to drive to Youngstown last minute when our previous plans fell through! We all made things work and their shoot turned out amazing, regardless! (Sometimes things don’t always go to plan because of unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, especially the weather, but that doesn’t mean a new plan or backup plan can’t work out great, too!)
It was such a joy photographing Michael + Madeline! They are such a sweet & light hearted couple. Their session was so enjoyable and it’s always nice having this time to bond with our couples. Engagement sessions offer the perfect opportunity to hang out and get to know one another. It helps us to understand what our couples prefer, while also giving them the opportunity to learn how to pose, see which poses and types of shots they like or dislike, and become comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. It’s a great way to build confidence and comfortability. Michael + Madeline didn’t need too much instruction (they were pros!), but it’s always nice building chemistry before the wedding. It makes the big day that much smoother—and it’s a lot of fun, too!
